Building Codes In The Bible

I sometimes get a little annoyed at local building codes telling me how to attach a porch to my house, or mandating how far apart the balusters must be on my stairs.  But right here in the Old Testament, we see God implementing building codes for the Israelites!

“When you build a new house, make a parapet around your roof so that you may not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your house if someone falls from the roof.”Deuteronomy 22:8

Who knew?  God is interested in safe building codes, too!
