Two Characteristics of God

“The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates. On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot. For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.”Psalm 11:5-7
Here is another passage which counters the modern question, “How could a loving God send someone to hell?”. The truth is, God can and He will, because He is a just God, just as the final verse says.
Two other things that I noticed, from verse 5 – 1) God has the capacity to hate, and 2) He has a soul. How does this read in other Bible versions?  It is exactly the same in the New American Standard and in the New King James versions, and also in the English Standard Version. This topic bears further study, on both of these items.
